Earning for App in top 100 paid for Entertainment section?
Hey,
I was just wondering if anyone has ever been or knows how many downloads per day an app that's in the Top 100 Paid for the Entertainment section gets?
US store preferably...but any store stats would be good as well!
Thanks

Trying to recall, and I *think* the highest I have had in US Ent. was no.34 and that day only sold about 75 apps. Not really anything to strive for.
ETA : I may be mistaken, it could have been music section...

That's definitely not entertainment. I had an app at about #100 Entertainment yesterday and that was around 120 copies. I had one also at #28 and that was around 550 Entertainment copies.

I don't think it would matter much to visibility if you were ranked 100 in entertainment. The visibility at 100 wouldn't help any more than visibility at 500. You really need to be in top 25 for ranking to have much effect on sales. Maybe 50. And if you don't get there organically through word-of-mouth, people searching for your app, etc, you won't stay very long anyways.
This topic has been discussed a lot in this forum.
If you are thinking of buying your way into the top 100, that is a waste of time and money.
