Default Two app reviews by me?

Someone left me a negitive review and 1 star rating on my app. So in an attempt to correct the review (misunderstanding of how the app worked) I posted a comment on how to correctly use it.

Shortly after they changed their review on the app. I went to change mine and just left to blank and saved assuming my comment would be wiped but after a day it still was not. So today I decided to just change my comment to a review highlighting the features instead of correcting something that was not there. Now I look at my reviews and I have two from my account I am not sure how this is happening or possible. Is there anyway to clear all my reviews I initially just posted to correct someone but now am stuck with two and it looks a little unprofessional.

not sure if it matters but I bought my own app so maybe because of that I have two reviews idk?

Do you see both reviews on iTunes itself or just in some website displaying reviews like Applyzer or Appfigures?

Some websites save all comments and edited ones show up as separate ones.
On iTunes you can't review an app twice with the same user ID.

If you see both on iTunes that will be a temporary thing probably.

Even if you review different versions, always the last review for the latest version will be saved.

Sometimes it may happen that both of your reviews for both versions are visible due to syncing delays.

Yea I am just viewing this on my iphone on the app store I made the second comment/review (in an attempt to delete old) about 4 hours ago and it is still showing both. One from the 1/3/12 and one from the 1/4/12 and there is even a review inbetween mine lol. I guess I will just give it some more time.

Won't Apple close your account if they find out you wrote your own review?

Hmm I hope not? I find it hard to believe no one has ever left a review for their own app. In this case I was only trying to provide support and then delete afterwards and thats how I got stuck with two. Now you have my worrying tho...

My two cents.

It's ethical if you note in the review that you are the developer - and many devs do this to clarify an aspect of the app as a response to a review.

If you praise the app as if you are a user, that's not so great.
In my opinion, it's in the same ballpark as giving your competition a bad rating.

I know rating my own app is unethical and it was never the intention. I just figured since my review that was there to help a user would not delete I would just change my reivew to a post detailing a few features. After two days I still had two posts(helping a user and my features post). Last night I just deleted my second review by redoing it as blank and I guess I will just have to deal with having a review on there that makes no sense since the users post has been changed.

I reported the post to apple on the app store(PC) to have it removed since I cant so I guess I will just go from there.
