iTunes Connect Company name

I just have a question for you folks about iTunes Connect. The first time you go to the "add new application" page, it asks for a company or developer name. If I put a name like CompuSoftIncorporated, or globodyne, or Air Conditioner, does it have to be a real company? Can it just be something made up so people can keep track of my apps by that name?

You can enter whatever you want, as long as it doesn't violate someone else's copyright and someone else isn't already registered under it. However, it is a very good idea to register the name legally in some manner (incorporating, creating an LLC, setting up a DBA, or even just start putting SM- for "service mark" - whenever you use the name are all fairly simple to do and will ensure that no one else can use the name later on, when you make it big of course

I don't even remember what I put there... Is there some place on iTunes Connect where that "company/developer name" can be seen?
