The lockdown meant to be for locking developers out from iTunes Connect, not users downloading apps.
Ranks are determined on downloads, not on iTunes Connect being accessible or not.
Think logical!

Rankings were locked in 2008, 2009, and 2010. Them not being locked in 2011 is completely new.

Strange maybe its certain sections. I am in the US and my apps are in Reference and Education and they are moving in all markets just checked again and they have moved in the last 15 min so maybe its stalled on other sections.
Unbelievable that some people don't even believe, what they see with their own eyes.
Read my lips: there is no ranking lockdown and there never was one!
My apps move up and down in EVERY COUNTRY every hour every day in applyzer.
This is the chart from Appfigures for Alpine Crawler World.
I also see the same using MajicRank for all my apps but who knows there may be more variables than we know. But i agree there has been no freeze this year.
I've noticed every once in a while ranks and review count get stalled, then takes a few days to correct. I was thinking this was from an overload in the system.
The game category was locked on 25th.. now it seems to move a bit.

A quick look at Appshopper shows at least the top 200 apps are frozen now. No movement in the last few hours. Going into different categories shows a little movement in apps that aren't in the top 200 overall.

Reviews are closed and have been since Christmas eve, here in the UK anyways.
There is certainly no ranking freeze in the lifestyle category on either the iPhone or iPad store.
And what sense would it make to lock ranking only in certain countries in certain categories?
Next time you will say, YOUR rankings were locked by an evil conspiracy of your competitors....
Appannie shows that there were daily changes in Fantasy Monster. If you would use Applyzer, I am sure you would see your changes hourly too.
But you are right. Probably there is a guy at Apple, who is paid for sitting there during holidays in a chamber with a ******* big switch whit the text "random locker" and he switches it bored on and off in every few hours. That must be it.
Don't you recognize, how stupid you sound?
