Free -> Paid -> Free Multiplies downloads x10

Hello, the other day I changed my free app to paid (99 cents). It was getting maybe 1 or 2 downloads a day at the free price. After a few days of 0 sales I changed it back to Free. Today I see that it was downloaded 35 times (at the new free price) Does a price change return the app to "new" status? Is there a website out there monitoring when apps go from paid to free and alerting its users?

There are many many websites and apps that monitor when apps on the AppStore go from paid to free - people jump on this like there's no tomorrow.


With my paid apps, I'll be lucky to get 35 downloads in a day, when i have a free sale day, i'll easily pass 10k downloads.

What he said, an average day will see me around 30 downloads. On my monthly free day I'll see anything from 6 - 10k downloads.
