Hi all, just want to check if anyone would know the answer. Assuming I am making an app that makes use of images I had grabbed from the internet (ie google images), and that these are obviously not images of company owned IPs.
Let's say a scenic wallpaper or some random images of a busy street of tokyo or even just some cute cat pictures. All of which i would have just cropped and resize to put into my app and let's say its an app containing like 100+ of such images all grabbed from the net.
Will there be any legal implications? (This app will be available for free with ads and upgradable to ads-free)

You could also use the advanced search on flickr and search for Creative Commons-licensed content which can be used commercially.

Thanks Pauluz85 I'll do that.
I am already trying to acquire images for use in safer ways like shooting them myself or grabbing from my friends' collections (with their permissions). Just that we arent really professional photographers nor do we have access to beautiful places to take nice pictures like those we find online and our varieties of pictures is quite limited.
Anyway I'll look out for CC licensed content. Can't really afford to pay for pictures but i don't mind crediting the photo sources in the app.

Legs? Inclination? Not really sure what you mean haha, i do have tripod though.
I live in a small city country, the greens are being cleared away for urban developments, so hard to come by nice scenic views.
I am actually making a game, something along the lines of those Find The Difference(photohunt) games, that's why I need many different pictures.

What I mean is that those pictures are taken by real people who have actually travelled there. Try iStock or any other of the great stock sites and buy an extended license.
