5 stars become 1 star!

Hi everyone,

We have a big problem with our app ratings since our last update on the appstore.

Firstable, our app seems to be really appreciated. We got mainly 5 stars reviews, a lot of 4 stars reviews and only 2 bad reviews (1 star) over 70.

Since our last update itunes displays a lot of 1 stars ratings (see screenshot below)


After some test, it appears that 5 stars ratings are counted like 1 star ratings! This is really weird and totally unexplainable. Our app is steadier than before, and we did not get any complaints about technical problems.
And our app is free!

We send several mails to apple but did not get any answers yet.

What can we do?

How exactly did you test this? You added up all the ratings in Connect and they don't equal the ratings you see in the bar chart?

We tested it by rating a 5 stars. After a few minutes, we got one more 1 star and no 5 stars in the chart. We dit it at least 3 times with different friends accounts with the same results.

Do you mean iTunes connect?
in ITC only customers reviews are displayed. Not the non-reviewed ratings.

I don't think it works that fast. Not for me at least.

iTunes is updating my ratings with much bigger delays.

Reviews take longer because they need approval but ratings without reviews are not so long. Maybe an hour.. Whatever, at the end the 5 stars didn't increase, only the one star did..
