I was surprised when I got home today and got an email telling me the an App review team members wants to talk to me regarding an update to an App I submitted about a week ago.
If you've seen me around here before, you probably know I'm among the young developers. Actually, I'm 14. My voice has yet to completely change (going through puberty), and anyone would easily be able to tell I'm under 18. Very easily. Therefore, I do not think I can talk.
Does anybody have any previous experience with this? Can I just re-submit my binary, and "get out of" talking with a member of the App review team? I really want this update to go through, but without talking to someone.

I spoke to them last night as it happens. Don't sweat it. Your app is being held up for some reason and they'll just explain to you why. There is nothing to worry about and resubmitting it without any changes won't accomplish anything but waste your time.

Wait, so all they want to do is say: "Your App is currently taking a while to review because..."? No questions like "Do you have" or "Is your App..."?
For some reason I always get extremely nervous when talking to companies. I remember verifying my Web Hosting account...I'm nervous because I think they'll figure out I'm 14 (lol). They were very, VERY nice about it though and it only took a few minutes (it was HostGator).

I assume you had your parents sign the actual contracts or whatever. As long as you had someone over 18 sign the actual legal stuff, Apple couldn't care less how old your 'companies' representative is. Either way, they aren't going to call you out on having a young sounding voice... some people have conditions or whatnot where their voices never change and I don't think Apple would want to risk offending someone like that.

Oh yeah, one time I purchased something online via Plimus, an E-Commerence payment system. A worker called to confirm an order, and called me out on my young sounding voice. After some arguing, she called be a b-i-t-c-h and hung up.
Therefore, I contacted Plimus about the situation. I provided my phone #, and they looked at the records. Yes, they record all conversations. I do believe she went home without a job.

They are probably going to tell you to remove the data you store in the Documents directory to the Tmp. Thanks Apple.

In my experience if they want more info about something concerning your app they usually mention it in the resolution center. When I spoke to them concerning my problem it was just them explaining why they rejected my app and what i need to change to get it approved. I don't think they are going to say anything about your age. It would be unprofessional.
Hopefully whatever is holding up your app is an easy fix. Good luck
