I have to agree that the latest Xcode 4.2 and iOS 5 has been nothing but painful for me. Xcode 4.2 seems really unstable. Seems like every 5th or so build that I'm doing, it seems to hang, which throws me for a loop on trying to find out whether it's my code or Xcode. More often than not, it's been Xcode.

iOS5 may be good in the longer term, but in the past week, I've had to spend a lot of time just tweaking my apps to be 'iOS 5 compatible'. Not a very productive period for me.

I want my Xcode 3.2.6 back...... but I guess we just have to get used to this new stuff and press forward.

Yeah XCode bugs me sometimes. Visual Studio (which I'm used to) is light years ahead.

In terms of devices being locked down, this may be bad for certain power users, but it's terrific for developers. You know exactly what to target and there is far less piracy than just about any other platform except for SaaS apps.

I don't want to explain my situation very detailed, becasue I don't want to bother you, but it is special. Unfortunatelly I am also not in the position to be able to fire people with a snap and take the next one waiting in the line.

I also don't like to call myself "boss" and probably that plays also a big role in this.

Provisioning profile, certificate, expired, drag this onto that and then do this, key chain (in 2 parts?), what the hell. Just work!

I worked on operating systems design and development. What's documentation?
