Default Android eCPMs Worth Developing For

I am in the process of porting one of my applications over to Android as a free app, however, I am leery after looking at Admob's dismal eCPM's. I know this is not something a larger company like Rovio does not need to worry about, but smaller indie developers make as low as $0.01 to $0.10 eCPM which is absolutely DESPICABLE. Does anyone have a positive experience with any ad network for their Android app?

Here are our eCPM's for our game Ball-Hop Bowling from July 5th, 2011 from admob. I've also included stats from our iOs version.

Ball-Hop Bowling for Android : eCPM = $0.20

Ball-Hop Bowling for iOs : eCPM = $0.30

Thanks for the info! I think that I am going to use Mobclix with Millennia Media or Jumptap open allocation. Although Mobclix pays Net 90, it has been my lifeline on the iPhone because their eCPM usually hovers around $.85 or more. I will keep you posted on the stats once our app is released.

Although it's no secret that iOS pays better than android, I've found the single biggest reason for a huge price discrepancy is lower CTR. Usually this is traced back to an implementation that consists of some errors that negatively impact the clicks or display of ads.

For conservative forecasting purposes, I'd recommend using about a 60% CPM model for your revenue projections.
