iAd ??

Hi Guys i submitted a free app yesterday with an iAd frame to it and i got an email in my iAd inbox saying that ads would not be served before july 2011...

Did someone else get a similar mesage? i thought iAd was released already

wow that is weird, is it a worldwide app?

That being said, iAd revenue are down so badly after christmas that it would not be surprising that they limit the number of new apps getting served.

Yea ( this is what they sent me ... dunno what it means and why i was sent that:

"iAds are slated to begin running on July 1. While we are logging and reporting your ad requests prior to July 1, you will not see any served ads until after July 1. Your actual volume of served ads will vary, based on factors that include your exclusions, available advertising inventory, advertiser targeting and user interaction with ads in your application."

Msg date is 06.jan.2011

What about existing app that will be upgraded?

ootb, which countries are you targeting with your app? And when did you receive the mail: before or after app was in statut "In Review"?

ootb, this could be a mistake...iAd was launched around July of last year. You should contact Apple for details.

it would make sense since the lack of iAds campaigns after the holidays killed free app development plans for many of us.

ootb, I just checked my iAd messages and in fact the message you received was from last year. I got the same message dated Jun 20, 2010. It was the welcome message that Apple never updated after the iAd launch.
