Question Free or $0.99?

The app I'm currently making is a game that is simple and fun, with highscores and achievements through OpenFeint. Don't want to give out too many details now, since I'm only one teen and a team of developers could copy it in a few days.

Do you think I should make it free with an ad mixture of iAd and AdMob using AdWhirl, or $0.99? Or change in between the two? What do you usually get most revenue from?

Thanks

This is a very difficult topic because it depends on many factors such as type of app, how long the user will actualy use the app continuously, how many session you expect from each user and I can even include on this a little bit of luck on choosing the release day (a day where actualy many people, for some reason, will try to download your app)

If you think the average user will spend lots of time using the app for too long, I mean, not getting bored or something like this, you should definitely put as ad supported.

But, in the other hand, if you think it's a 15minutes fame app, which people cabe easily bored or simply it doesn't suppose to be used for too long, go for paid.

Anyways, this is a really complicated thing to decide and if I see a Book teaching how to deal with this decision, I would buy it.

Another good option is making it paid and lite-ad supported.
