Question keeping appstore site separate from personal blog.

I am creating iphone/ipad apps outside of the day job as a single developer (I will full in my own tax return at end of tax year to cover appstore earnings).

I would ideally want to create a seperate website with a name that IS NOT my real name that only hosts info about the appstore games/apps (e.g. www.supadupagames.com instead using my blog url www.joeblogs.com).

My question is, When setting up the itunes connect dev account details, how should i do this...

Even though I am not setting up a company called supadupagames, should i fill in the company name as this and just put my real name in the bank account section?

or should i just leave the company name field empty and fill in www.supadupagames.com in developers site url ?

PS I am not trying to hide my name from people, my full time day job is fine with me doing appstore apps on side. I just want to keep my blog (and its often unrelated ramblings separate from appstore work).

Any advice would be appreciated?

Depends on if you want to register as an individual or as a company. Be careful—the paperwork necessary to go from individual to company is rather annoying.

If you're not a company, I believe it's illegal to pretend to be one, so you'd go with the latter option. With company filing fees so cheap (it's well under $200 in my state), you should consider filling for an LLC at least...it provides you with some securities, and makes management easier down the road. And when you start building up a loyal customer base, you don't want to have to change your brand identity.

Unless you set up a corporation or LLC and get a corporate apple dev account, your real name will be the "Seller" on iTunes.
