LLCs still typically have to register with the state in which they'll actually be operating, even if the LLC itself is domiciled in another state. In my state it's actually twice as expensive to file for a certificate of authority for an out-of-state LLC to conduct business in the state as it is to file articles of organization to form a domestic LLC. Other states may be different, but you generally can't get out of paying fees to the state in which you actually live and work.

Because I'm in a really good mood today (largely based on the new iTC sales reporting features which the attached image shows off) I will help you out and show you the wrongs of your ways... and no, those aren't $1 apps either... we don't have any apps that are less than $2.99 and our biggest seller is actually a $4.99 app making up at least 50% of the d/l numbers. So you can see, week by week we are doing alright for ourselves... and with a set of planned large updates and a few new interesting apps as well coming VERY soon... the end-of-summer slump we are currently living in is soon to come to an end... although I think that even you would not argue with me that Christmas (and hopefully a Ver-iPhone too) can't come soon enough!

I made the Top 100 overall grossing yesterday. So I know how much a Top 100 app makes. His sales data is an order of magnitude higher than mine. If his data is accurate then he must have some Top 10 apps (TapTapTap has released data for Top 10 apps and its still lower than his numbers). Will be very easy to verify whether he is telling the truth or not if he tells us the name(s) of those apps.
Looking at the Top 10 highest grossing I highly doubt any of those belong to forum users =)

That's still pretty good! You're in the Top 1000 as far as visibility is concerned. My experience is that once you are Top 25 in your category and your app is "sticky" then you are pretty much set.
Reaching Top 100 overall really took a lot of luck. Reviews, being featured by apple, and the start of the NFL season. I don't think I'll get there again anytime soon haha.
