Default The iAd Stats Thread

My iAd update just got approved for my free app (My DJ Free).

Anyone care to share what eCPM and Fill Rate you're receiving from iAds so far? I'll share mine once something shows up in iTunes.

After a half a day or so, I'm getting a low fill rate (12% or so) and a very low CTR. Luckily I have Adwhirl integrated, so it's serving Admob ads and House ads when iAds doesn't come through.

I'm really optimistic about iAds, but I was hoping for them to have more advertisers on board on launch day.

I have around 10% fill rate also and 1 to 2% CTR. Anyway even with low impressions, I am earning more than with AdMob thanks to high prices of CPM and clicks. (and AdMob don't pay for impressions).
I will also implement adWhirl to serve admob or house ad for the 90% unfilled requests and countries outside US not receiving iAd yet.

0% fill rate until this morning, and now slowly impressions are starting.

My fill rate's been going up each day, and quite a bit today. Starting on 07/03 it's been 12.17%, 12.5%, 17.35%, and today is 26.23%. I hope this trend continues. . . this is not bad for the first few days, especially considering it seems like the eCPM is $6 at minimum (with no clicks).

So is anyone here actually making decent money of iAds?

Also, if you have used other ad networks, how does iAds compare?

That depends on how you look at it. No one that's serious with serving ads should be using iAd only right now, because the fill rate is low. However, the eCPM for the impressions that are applied is high; $6 minimum in my experiences so far. Compare that to the $1-2 I get with Admob, and iAds is much better, so currently I serve an iAd ad when possible, an Admob ad if iAd fell through, and a house ad (an ad for one of my own apps) if both fail.

Default No iAd banners are shown. Why?

Hmm, there are no iAds shown within my iAd app. Is it because, so far there are not enough advertisers.

I tried 50 times, and no iAd banner has been shown!

And what does "Requests", "Impressions" and Fill Rate mean?

100 Request and 10 Impressions means 10% Fill Rate ?

A "request" refers to your app requesting an ad from the ad server. An impression is when the ad server actually had one available. Fill rate is amount of impressions divided by amount of requests--the rate at which the ad server had an ad to give you.

Hey,

This is weird. Previous days had revenue and requests (around 1000 per day). So far today's revenue, requests are $0 for today. Do someone experience the same issue?

Thanks,
Malo

Personally, I'm not sure if I could define a "typical" day yet because it's a brand new ad network and is changing every day. My fill rates have been going up almost every day.

So far I'm seeing a fill rate of 36.4% on 901 requests. 5% CTR. YMMV.

Wow. I'm getting a fill rate close to that, but that click through rate is crazy high--kind of fishy. . .

Apple originally said iAds would be for U.S. developers only--are you a U.S. developer? I think some other non-U.S. developers actually had some iAds showing, though. . .
