I just updated my application, and the moment the update was approved by Apple, iAd start reporting impressions.
I don't know if this fixed the problem as I didn't change the ad code, but may be the update process triggered something within iAd system that made it finally serve ads to my application

Do you mean you weren't getting iAds, submitted a 2nd update, and now you do? What did you update? Did you change keywords or anything?

Exactly, I wasn't getting iAd till I updated the app. I didn't change the the keywords or the code, only some modifications to the compilation flags and targets to support older versions of iOS.

This is a good point. I am not getting any impressions for an app targeted for iOS 4 only. Since iAd is for iOS 4 only, it does not make sense to me if it's true.
Has anyone seen any impressions for iOS 4 only app?

It shouldn't matter, so long as it is iOS4 compatible, the other versions supported don't make a difference.
I agree that it shouldn't but not sure if it does. I have 6 apps with iAds. 4 compatible with iOS 3 and two are compatible only with 4. Only the first 4 get impressions. All get requests from US in addition to other countries.
Anyone care to share what eCPM and Fill Rate you're receiving from iAds so far? I'll share mine once something shows up in iTunes.
I hope someone can help me. I'm having a hard time getting my app ID to show up in the iAd network module/report screen. I've had six approved iAd apps and non of them shows up in the report screen. So, I'm going to try again. Hopefully your experiences can assist me.
I have created a new app submission and a new bundle ID. I've selected this new bundle ID for this new submission. However, in the bundle ID creation screen, there is no iAd feature for us configure. It only gives us the option turn on Push Notification. So, I left that ID as is and have not associated it with my provisioning profile. Do I need to? Please chime in....
My submission is now created and I have uploaded the binary. I was alerted by application loader that the bundle ID were not the same so I updated my app plist file's bundle ID to match. Next, I clicked on the Enable iAd button and now I'm not sure what to expect. I don't see the app ID in the iAd report screen yet. Is the app ID suppose to show up there now or does the app ID only show up after the app is approved?
Can you guys whom have all been successful with this please help me out? I thank you in advance....

Same here. I released a free version of my paid app, ios 4 only. 630 requests and no impression so far. Even worse, I see there is a drop on sales of my paid version :-(

Can at least one person here confirm that they have an ios4 only app that gets impressions?
This has me worried as well since my next app will be iad + ios4 only
I have two iOS 4 apps. Their use is very very light. In one I just got 2 impressions for just 136 requests(all US) with 0 revenue!!! It did not have any impressions for the first 120 requests. The other one has 6 impressions for 84 (35 US) requests and 0.03 revenue. I don't think my very limited experience counts.

I'm chalking up your problems to something I overlooked until I read this thread in that the app has to run and display the ad for 30 seconds for it to count.
Because of this I just took my add out of the root view of a nav controller which is only shown briefly at launch and put it right up on top of the navigation controller so its present during the whole run.

Both of my apps display the ad at the top all the time. Both have only one view. I use AdWhirl and I set the refresh to 60 seconds.
I never expected my limited audience apps to make me any money. It's just fun to watch different ad networks stat page.
I just received one click on one the iOS 4 apps i mentioned above. The revenue for the click was $0.18. The most interesting is that click was from UK. I have 2 impressions from UK. I am pre-dure these non-US impressions are the result of iAd for Developer program.
