Apple originally said iAds would be for U.S. developers only--are you a U.S. developer? I think some other non-U.S. developers actually had some iAds showing, though. . .
Apple originally said iAds would be for U.S. developers only? where did you see the message, the apple website?
At launch, we’ll roll out in North America and ramp up the number of ads served in the weeks and months ahead. For developers outside of North America, iAd will be rolled out in a few months.
North America also includes Canada and Mexico not just the US
True, misread that (edit: mistakes like this make me feel like one of those Americans that think the U.S. is at the center of the world! Not me, I promise! lol)
I understand Gudus' confusion because I had thought I heard U.S. only as well being tossed around a lot. Certainly these types of mistakes happen.
I had an app rejected because it still showed the border even when an ad wasn't displayed, so I'm getting ants in my pants hoping it's approved soon so I can start making some iAds money as well! Then I can decide how to move forward with my other applications. I think I might try AdWhirl or Burstly.
My CTR is around 1-2% also.
I don't know for iAd but I know that AdMob follows CTR and disable apps with too large CTR or with many clicks and no purchase I'm not sure. Anyway I received a mail from AdMob once telling me my statistics were "suspicious" and that I should be careful not to put ad close to buttons and other advice.
Our iAd-supported app was approved yesterday morning and our fill rate is still 0.00% as of this afternoon ... Not very happy with the performance so far.
Anyone with a large-scale app try iAds? We currently have Admob in The Impossible Test, and right now we have >600,000 requests/day on average. We switched to Mobclix instead of Admob (switch will take place in new update), but has anyone tested iAds with very large amounts of requests? How is iAd holding up, or should we just stick with Mobclix for now?
Also, if anyone has used Admob and Mobclix, which one pays more?
@simplymuzik3 I haven't have the amount of impression as you are (600,000) mine is only 200,00 but I have used both Admob and Mobclix. Mobclix pays about *2 more than Admob but sometime it does take time for them to pay.

Thanks, I thought Mobclix would pay better, but I never expected to hear a 2x increase! I guess iAds still have some time before they can have higher fill rates and become more profitable.
My first app with iAd (an update) was approved today. I don't have any impression yet but I already have questions about the stat page
As you know stat can be listed by country. Should I expect any impression if the country is not US? I have a US development account.
I see people report fill % here. Are these only US fill or total fill?
This is a good point. I think, right now, there are only impressions in the U.S. My fill rate overall is about 20%, but my fill rate in the U.S. is about 40%.
So what's the idea about the below text from apple ??

I am a developer in Switzerland and my app got impression from US customers.
Just get the iAd contract and read it, it says nowhere that developer outside US won't be able to participate in iAd. A press release is not contractual, in my opinion it was just to state that iAd will be delivered only to US customers.
Anyone else have a terrible fill rate today? Mine has been around 40-50% but today dropped to lower single digits...on the day that I received the most requests so far oh well, this is my slow performing app anyways, I'll see some real numbers once my next update is approved.
