Default Yes, I am eligible for new iPhone 4G. (Previously the eligibility on Nov 2010).

Yes, I am eligible for new iPhone 4G. (Previously the eligibility on Nov 2010). I bought iPhone 3GS last year. Seems like I will be able to keep upgrading each year.

"As a valued AT&T customer, this line qualifies for discounted equipment pricing when you sign a new 2-year commitment."

Time to order the new iPhone 4G.

Translation: AT&T exclusivity is expiring in around 6 months time and we want to lock you into a 24 month contract now before you jump to another carrier.

Where did you find this???

When I log into att.com, and check upgrade options it says:

"As a valued AT&T customer, you may be eligible for a standard upgrade on this line, with reduced equipment pricing when signing a 2-year commitment. Click 'Upgrade Eligibility' to view your upgrade options."

Then, when I click "Upgrade Eligibility" I am then just taken to a page to shop any and all phones...

Account Overview -> Quick Links -> Check Upgrade Options ->
Then it give me an option to upgrade. Which list this text "As a valued AT&T customer, this line qualifies for discounted equipment pricing when you sign a new 2-year commitment."

Currently it did not have iphone 4G yet from the list of the phone but next week it will. I will get one the day the order is showing up.

You can also call '*639#' (without the quotes) from your phone and you will get a text message from AT&T letting you know when you are eligible to upgrade.

Bummer... I got the following message:

"A full discount on a standard handset or iPhone upgrade is not available at this time but you may qualify on 5/2011. We can offer you a discounted iPhone upgrade at at higher price with a 2-yr commitment and an $18 upgrade fee."

WTF does that really even mean? obviously no preorder at $199 for me but is it gonna be like $250? or something lol...

"discounted iPhone upgrade at at higher price" o.O

That means you'll get an "early upgrade" price.
