iPhone Developer account with someone else's credit card

Hi I wanted to enroll in Apples iPhone developer program the problem is I myself don't own a credit card is it Ok if I use some one else's credit card to sign up...

I mean can I just use the credit card I have to pay apple 100$ dollars & specify my account details from any transactions originating from Apples side.

(& yes I cannot get a credit card, I am currently jobless never ever had a credit card before in my life & credit card companies are very skeptical to give me one.)

You can. However apple will ask you to send the person's id proof and an authorization by them agreeing that the payment is valid.

Sounds fishy. You don't need CREDIT to pay for something with plastic. You can deposit $100, get DEBIT card (or so called check card) and pay with that. It doesn't need to be credit.

thats what i did; however, the selling name will go under their name, ( thats the one that appears at the bottom of the app info page). also, u will have to use their TIN and the tax for it will be taken away from their money. to me it doesnt sound like your a kid, and this is the way most minors do it. But as for a friend allowing you to do this…im not so sure

if you have paypal you can get a visa debit card from them and use your paypal account to pay.

Yeah, don't most people have a bank account nowadays? Also, I think it's fine to use someone else's card with their permission.

I'm not sure if you can do that.

Is it a credit card you need or a basic currant account card, i go to college but have no job and i still got accepted for a normal card (not credit card)

I have an LLC account. My partner set it up initially under his name, and then I went in and paid for the developer program with my name and credit card number. No problems except that Apple somehow caught my last name from that and put it with my partner's first name as the new name of the contact person on the account. I did not have to submit my ID or anything. I was able to resolve it by calling customer service, but I do find it odd that there must be a "main" person on the account for a business.

I guess my recommendation would be to just try it. The worst that could happen that I can imagine is Apple would refuse the payment. If your friend is on board with it, there is no criminal action or anything.

I don't know if prepaid cards are available in pakistan but I use those in UAE, it's just like a credit card but you can only use the amount deposited in it.
