Google owns Admob... its practically the same thing lol.

That's not true re AdMob vs. AdSense for Mobile Apps. (1) The acquisition has yet to be consummated. (2) The ads are sold and priced differently so you'll see different ads/eCPMs.

That being said, you should never use just one ad network/exchange as your sole ad provider for your apps. Using a mediation layer affords you the flexibility and visibility you need to maximize your revenue by dynamically selecting which ad provider is netting you the highest eCPM.
