In their reply email, they did mention that the expedite review is on rare case and they are selective about it. If you don't have a good reason, i don't think they will entertain the request.

You mean they don't think my excitement is enough of a good reason?

I wouldn't suggest abusing expedite reviews. They might do it once or twice if you ask nice, then next time you will have some really nasty bug and you will really need an update and they will refuse.

I updated the app and did a make over on it, even add a function, requested for expedite review and apple said yes, and the app was online in about 1 hour!. Saw some users uploading their creation to their flicker page, which is awesome to see! (im a photography buff myself).
Yup the link for AppliFX is already there in v1.2. there are indeed increase in sales for AppliFX. it went from 0 to about 100+/- today!
but the rank for iQuikSplash has gone down rapidly, due to the no of 1 and 2 stars i guess.. soon im off the chart. oh well.
Hmm... well, interesting. Thanks for sharing this whole experience with us! It makes me really want to get a lite version of My DJ out there, but I'm too busy working on The Apperator right now.

Sure. No biggie. Glad to share stuffs in here. Hope we all learn something.
I sure did.
Sounds like it was a fun ride! I think it's cool to know that so many people got to experience something you made. Too bad you didn't have the lite to full conversion link in there sooner, live and learn, eh?
I think your experience with your "lite" vs full might make me rethink how I'm going to market Tangled 2.... I wasn't planning to do a lite version (I did for Tangled and I don't think it made that much of a difference....) but I'll see now

I just thought I'd let you know... I submitted My DJ Free to the app store last night and it's currently "In Review"--it didn't take me much time because I basically just released version 1.0 of the paid My DJ with an explanation of what the paid version has and a link to it. I've been thinking about doing it for awhile, but this story really inspired me to get it done! I hope I have a similar story to share some day.
Wow... im thrilled! Even though, yeah its a free app.
This is awesome!!
And best of all, no advertising at all, except in some forums (all free).
Thanks for telling me. I was busy revamping my website and doing updates, I haven't check iTunes for a few days now.
Don't worry, the free app is free advertisement for your paid one...and the more people who will download it the more people will pay for the premium one (too bad you didn't leave the link to Tangled lol)
