I just had an app go into the dreaded "requiring more time for review" state... Do you think this could be because of the push for ipad apps? They just announced you can submit ipad apps today

it is 80F in Apple Head Quarter Cupertino right now, the app reviewer having fun outside enjoying the sun and have barbecue. . I also need to go outside the office to join them too.
I expect a combination of longer review times and an increase in inconsistencies.. I expect they have hired more reviewers, and put the new ones on the iphone apps and 'promoted' the better iphone reviewers to the ipad.
Im seeing the longer review times and inconsistencies already
I hope when I submit Tangled 2 it will be fast like that
Last time I submitted anything to the Appstore was in Sept and back then I was getting about a 7 days average
Update and review times have decreased dramatically over the last couple months. Updates have been taking around 24 hours these days, and new releases around 2-3 days. This week though I had a new app take 4 days and still waiting on an update submitted on Wednesday.

that usually happens when they have something that they find wrong with your submission or your practices in general that they want to contact you directly about instead of just rejecting it with the standard reject email...
I would expect a call from the Curpertino area code early Monday morning where someone will tell you exactly why they cant accept your app at this time (or possibly ever...)

Oh no....I hope that doesn't happen to me... I just submitted Tangled 2 last night/this morning......

What interesting (well at least to me) is that my game took about 13 hrs to go from Waiting for Review to In Review.....but it's been In Review for about 24 hrs....really? My game is pretty simple lol

Good to know I'm not the only one, last time I submitted an app I don't think they were giving out the actual status of the submission, it would go from request for review to approved/denied

I think they're doing pretty well these days with review times. Even 3 or 4 days "waiting for review" is a lot better than a year ago, when it seemed like you'd wait 10-12 days minimum. Of course, I have my very important Magic Card update "in review" right now, and I wish they'd hurry up and release it for sale... I'm getting a lot of unhappy iPod Touch owners right now, and feel badly about that.
