@justill45 actually that is completely normal. It won't show the ratings in a search until you have 6 ratings I think. You need to have enough for it to show the average and 3 isn't enough.

Yep, the lowest I've ever seen on my own apps is 5, and I believe that's the minimum. Written reviews will show up right away but the average star rating will not until there's enough to average Good luck!

For those of you who have long wait times (2 weeks+), do you happen to have a long descriptive app title? This may be a new rejection factor.

I start to think that this delay may be due to having a DB. I have a DB with 700 entries (spread on various tables), so perhaps they are reviewing the whole DB? I'm saying this because I've seen apps more simple/basic than mine being reviewed in 1/2 weeks, and mine did 3 weeks today, and I received the "unexpected time" email about 1 week and half ago...

They don't review code unless something prompts them to (obvious use of a private API), so the db isn't holding them up.

I assume they only review/approve apps monday-friday? What time do most of the acceptances arrive?

I've had approvals on weekends and I believe I've seen them to testing on them on weekends too.

Hello!
our free version got approved last night in about 10 days (great!!!), but even if I changed right away the release date from sept 24 to oct 5th, we are still showing up in 4th page vs in first page. Wasn't supposed to be moved in first page after 5-6 hours from the change (they already passed)?
This is the first version of the app, not an update. Does that matter? Any way to fix this??
You can try the app btw and let us know what you think (and get the full if you want ).
Thanks!

in ITunes, just go in each category and select in the top right "sort by" Release date. On the iPhone/iPod Touch just check "Release date" Tab on the top, again after selecting a category

Grr, my new app has been approved 24h ago and it's sill not visible in the new release. It's available when your search it though. Is it normal ? Can I do something ? The release date is the 5th and already applications from the 6th are present in the list.

The link if you are interested. It's a 4 player tron/nibble game (very very basic)

Time delays between approval and appearing on the New Release list are all over the place. One of my apps took 3 hours and the next took over a day, it's a crapshoot.

:-(( Still nothing after 36 hours

It's the first game I released. It s under game -> arcade category so it's supposed to appear in the new releases of this category right ? Is it also going to appear in game -> action the second sub category ?

Default Submitted on the 8th of Sept

Its now the 7th of Oct. Just under a week... Still NOTHING - just the one email.
Submitted a followup email to them after day 14 flew past just for grins.
Automated response no human interaction.

Suggestions? This was our first app - have others in the pipeline but it would be nice to have ONE in the store before christmas

So it's been almost 2 days and my app is still not visible in the new releases.
I definitely missed the new release rush. Thank you Apple !!
So know the question is, will my app appear if I wait or is there a bug in the app store ? Have anyone experience that kind of problem ?

Sooooo, just the 1 month in review then.

FourFourTwo magazine Novemeber edition went out today with the article about our Street Skills App (pg36 if anyone is interested) stating:

'Try the Free version which is available on the App store'

Technically speaking, it's on the App Store ........ Wait Thread.

Hey folks,

Been a while since I've been on here. The real job has had me consumed. In any event, I've finally posted (last night) an update to Sleuth. Is there any distinction made as far as review time for initial apps vs updated of the same app? Just curious.

Personally I did not experience any difference between update and initial submission. Two weeks average
