I find it odd that it took so long and then got approved within 24 hours of my posting in the apple iphone support forums. I created a new threaded called 32 days and my app still hasnt been approved. Then bam I got 3-4 hits to my server for the app and it was approved. Is it a coincidence or could one of the mods over there be in contact with the review team to get things pushed through?

Wow,, really? could you give me the link to the support forums? I'm going to test this theory
they do have people from apple that monitor and sometimes comment on there. The question is could they do something like flag an issue or ask the review team to look at something?

It's funny that, because I spoke to a friend of mine at Apple and he said the same thing, I should post the problem on the developer forum, they have people who look at these all the time.
Even knowing somebody at Apple doesn't help!!! and they've been there for 15+ years!

Happy for you
If that turns out to be the truth and it really helps, we'll soon see some serious "My app hasn't been approved" threads on the official forums.
I got it too (yesterday). Think it has something to do with duplicating the functionality of one of the apple apps. On the upside I just got 2 expedited reviews for a really trivial bug that I fixed - shame.
Hey MikeToolz... I followed your lead (posting a note in the Apple Dev forum).
My original upload of my Free version was on July 26...it is now Sept 13...that is 49 days... and still counting.
I think they forgot about my app...or think it is such trash that they threw it out.
I have rec'd many emails (direct from my web site) regarding the game...telling me how wonderful they think it is, how fun and better game play than the others (of similar game play), etc.
I don't understand Apple!!!
Sorry guys... I guess I am just venting a little.
Well, lets see if my note in the Apple Dev forum and direct on Apples main forum...gets any reaction.

I spent some time yesterday, looking at your app on iTunes and checked out your website.
I tip my hat to you for putting out such a professional looking product and of course website.
But what puzzles me is why you have a total of 7 One Star ratings...and your average is One Star.
Every so often, Apple really screws up the reviews and ratings making the numbers totally different than what they actually are...
So, is the current rating correct?
Or just an Apple glitch?
If it is correct, I would seriously do something to offset those negative ratings.
As for your Lite version....while waiting for its approval,
Why not just offer your regular version free for a week or so...and then go back to the regular price. Put it on sale like many developers do to gain exposure.
If you are only selling just one a day, you've got nothing to lose by doing so.

Just a thought.
NotAppy...thank you... NO REALLY...THANK YOU!!! Your message gave me goose bumps.
You're right mate... I have a very VERY crappy rating in the store. I think its all because of the one guy who didn't like it (thought it was like Farkle)...well...IMO, if you want a easy Non-thinking game...sure go for it.
Personally...when I play a dice game... I want the dice to ROLL...not just sit in one spot and change images...LMAO!
Well NotAppy...I'll do it!
As of today, Play 10K (full version) will be FREE until the lite version is released.
Thank you for the compliments...they are greatly appreciated.
Today I was reading about how MikesToolz went onto the Apple Dev forum...stated his complaints and next day..."ready for sale"...
Well, I went to the Developer Forums and posted this message in

WHY have I been waiting now 49 days to get my Free app approved through the Apple Review Board? Original upload was July 26...rec'd a rejection due to 1 button doing nothing...and got rid of ALL ads and links to the store (from within the app).
In many "app review" related forums and blogs...others are stating their apps are getting approved in 14 - 25 days. I am now into my 49th day.
This doesn't give me much confidence in the Apple review system!

Now...carefully read the last sentence!
I just shrug my shoulders
Perhaps some Apple employees are among us as members of this site...

Nice call mate. I re-priced my app to FREE...and now I'm in the top 20 Free apps (Dice).
Thank you for the suggestion!!!
I'd send you a promo code...but I guess you don't need it now...LOL!
Can anyone point me to a tutorial in how to make a lite version just by adding a new target?
Much appreciated,
Chase
The best one that I ever found was on a blog that ended up getting blacklisted because their host was serving up malware. I'll send a PDF of the post that I captured on my hard drive to your gmail address...

I downloaded it and played it...me against the iPhone.
I found it to be a very enjoyable dice game.
So gave it a 5 star rating. Most of the stuff I have downloaded gets much less than that, because it is unplayable or poorly executed.
Yours was well done with excellent graphics.
Which then makes me wonder...what the other buyers prior to it going free were thinking. For $1.99 your game is well worth the money.
The only "bug" I noticed is that at times the dice would roll a little too long...and jitterbug their way across the screen. But I also noticed that holding the iPhone at different angles made that "bug" go away?
Just an observation about this forum after being here for a couple of weeks: this forum is really unusually friendly and helpful. Seriously, if you compare the support and feedback you typically get in here to other forums on the web (both official company-backed and non-official) it's really amazing.
