I've been waiting for ALMOST ONE MONTH, which is very annoying.
Submit: Sep 5th,
Oct 2nd : Still Review.
They just emailed me a week ago, and said "We require additional time. Sorry for the delay...". Since my app is soooo simple that it took just a week last time I submitted another one, I don't understand why they take such a long time and don't explain much. Apple disrespect developers in a sense...
i dont see why all of you guys are getting so mad at apple im sure it takes so long cause they check everything and complex apps they make sure it doesnt crash an iphone or send important info to you in an email or sumthing. i bet alot of noobs submit an app wich is like a picture of a dog and they dont want it and all thoose apps delay them. just chill your lucky they even let you sell them
I had to make some changes to my description and the logo. I uploaded the changes last night. How long do those changes take to appear in the store? Anyone know?
You changed your big icon? You know it has to match your 57x57 icon, or it wont get put it (or if it automatically put up, maybe they'll take it down?). Be careful...
Description changes take 2-6 hours, based on my experiences

Yeah, its the same.....just had the wrong ratio before and its correct now (the one I uploaded last night)......Even with the bad ratio, it was on the store...I had it as 588x512 (I screwed up the scaling). Looks fine now, but slightly off.
I sent an email to the contacts address earlier tongiht, and if I don't hear anything back by tomarrow afternoon I was gonna try calling the number listed here .... wither they will be able to help me or not is another question...
An app I submitted is now listed as "Ready For Sale" in iTunes Connect, but cannot be found on the App Store. Any insight into this part of the process and how long it might take to actually appear for sale?
I have also been waiting pending contract....
Please share a number if you have one
I had to contact the Apple contracts dept - they had me listed by Middle Name / Last Name instead of First Name / Last Name. As soon as this was fixed my contract status changed to "In Effect".

I called the number I listed above earlier today. The girl on the phone first told me to mail that address -- when I asked her for a phone number with them she said "I really wish we did have a number for the contract department..." I told her I already mailed that address with no response, and she told me she would escalate with her supervisor..
This was 5 hours ago and app is still Pending Contract...
I submitted my app on Oct 5th ... and just 5 minutes ago I got an email saying my app was rejected because one of the buttons in my app produced a popup that says "Feature coming soon".
It seems you can't have any "Coming Soon" type verbiage in your app.. because it considered not feature complete.
DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! LOL..
Well I just submitted it again... so it looks like the average wait is 7 days.
PS. Just incase anyone wanted to know. I rejected my binary several times to correct things I saw after I submitted it... and it still took 7 days. So I guess we can reupload our apps without being sent to the back of the que.

I just had the excact same experience....
It relly sucks that there isnt a number for the contracts dept
So I received a mail back from devcontracts@apple.com today --- just a form letter saying it is currently taking 3-4 weeks...
I then called back the ADC #, and asked about this... I expressed my disbelief that my app could be reviewied in 6 days, but they have such a backlog with contracts it takes them 4 weeks..... It seems to me they should have more games to review, reviewing is more complicated, thus that should be the bottleneck...
She didn't really give me a satisfactory answer why the contracts take so long, but see did say something that might give some insight into the review processes..
As someone else here had suggested, it seems they do review, 'similar applications' at the same time.. This is essentially what she said to me:
When you submitted your game there must not have been many applications like it, so the queue your app was in was small. Some apps take much longer, for example a while back we had 100 To-Do applications in review, and these were all in the same guys queue so they took forever to get reviewed...

Hope that helps someone
Wow...so what if your app is so different and unique that there will not be any similarities with other apps? I could be waiting for eternity!
