Scott, what do you mean about waiting on the contract? I just submitted my first app, and there was a 'paid' contract button that I had to accept, I just accepted it and it went through immediately. I still have to setup my tax info. Is this what you mean?
I submitted the second update (v1.2) to Binary Game on Monday (3/9) at about 11AM Pacific.
My last update was in review a little less than 4 days, then once I got the approved email it took a good 3-4 hours for iTunesConnect to switch from "in Review" to ready-for-sale.
Hoping they resolves all these issues soon!
BTW - It looks like they changed the way they handle App reviews on iTunes.. now they're version specific..
Wish me luck in my first app. It's simple enough but having internet connections (UIWebView) may bite me in the **** due to the 3G/Edge super slowness.
One thing that ticks me off though: I enrolled as a 'company' over a month ago and no response. So I had my business partner enroll as an individual last week (with no prior 'Apple' anything while I've been signed up in Apple development and other stuff for many years!!!!). He was in like flint in less than 12 hours. What the f.....!!!!??? I've completely given up on my enrollment as it will obviously never happen. And you can't 're-enroll' after submitting an enrollment. Apple needs to *really* fix this (split infinitives and all). To me, it seems like this: you're a big friggin' company with billions, in - you're a nobody company, wait several months or years. Not very condusive to embracing enterprise. The saying goes, the tighter the grip, the more sand slips through your fingers. Chant it, Apple people...
I submitted a free version of iGuess on the 21st Feb, after a few problems with Apple, they won't allow in your face "Buy Me" Alerts, I finally got an e-mail that it was ready but I had to resubmit the binary, did so then a week or so later got another e-mail saying that the app was ready for sale, checked iTunes and iTunes Connect but could not find iGuess Lite on iTunes and iTunes Connect said that it was still in review. On the 10th I checked my sales and saw that iGuess Lite had been downloaded, so there has been a real screw up. I just hope it clears down by the time I have an update for iGuess

Have you tried calling them and bugging them about it? At one point during my enrollment as a company I wasn't getting any of their email correspondence, because my developer email address had been set by default to the ID I created when I registered as a developer (i.e. mycompany@mac.com). But the thing is, there's no email account actually tied to that ID, so by default, the emails they were sending me......were going to nowhere. Nice, eh?
I submitted mine on the 10th.... my first app for the app store. I have been too busy at work writing an in house one to have any time to write my own. I wrote a super simple one just to get the ball rolling. 2 days so far... I am guessing maybe the end of this week or sometime next....
together with drobnik.com I submitted the game Luckywheel on the 7th March and this morning it got accepted an at in the afternoon it was availible in the appstore.
Thought I'd post my experience with the submission of my first app Sound Freak, which is free.
For starters, I had an existing developer account that was setup when the SDK was first released, but recently decided to convert my account over to a corporate one. I found the transition process from an individual to a corporate one very easy and timely. The process, from what I recall, was no more than 4 days...so either I got very lucky or the process is being streamlined.
Once the transition was completed I then uploaded my app on 3/2 and I received the email indicating ready for sale on 3/11. The app is nothing more than the typical high frequency playing apps that are showing up, but it was a good learning exercise for me.
Yet, I fully expected the app to be rejected cause it allows someone to browse the net while the sound plays in the background, and understanding the fickleness regarding the usage of browsers made me think this might hold it up. None the less it was approved in what seems to have been a short amount of time compared to what others are experiencing.
As a follow-up to the previous message...as I've been pinged by a few asking about the migration process from individual to company account.
I called the number that's shown in the developer section under 'contact us':
(408) 974 4897
I told the agent that I simply wanted to convert to a company and they then passed the case to a migration agent. They'll tell you that you'll lose developer access to the portal. Also, they'll ask about any existing apps you have on the store, which in my case there were none so this probably makes the transition easier.
You'll get an email that acknowledges you want to perform the migration with a link to then go in and enter your company information within the developer portal. This showed up a day later. It is important that you log out of the developer portal. I was already logged in via another window so when I went to the link it just took me to the default developer portal home page. When you log out and then hit the link you'll be presented with the page to enter the company info.
Shortly after entering the updated info I then received a message asking that I fax over the appropriate, applicable business info such as a biz license, fictitious biz name statement, or articles of incorporation.
Then 2 days later I received a phone call from the agent that was more or less confirming who I was and suggested that I reprovision new certs and create a new profile under the company profile. Right after the phone call I received an email that required me to review and accept once again the developer T's&C's. After that I received a message as confirmation that the migration was completed.
That was pretty much it. Hope this helps and clarifies the process.
Hey trsills, I just started this process - got the email from ADC which contains a link to the page where I'll change my info to transition to a company status - however this page has been down for about 24 hours now, just has a frustrating "Service is Temporarily Unavailable" message. I called ADC to see what's going on and they said "yeah that happens when some developer crashes the system". Blast! Just burning time here.
Well as a follow up to my transition post, Apple has managed to relocate me to Limbo at this point. I cannot login to their supplied update transition page, and my dev account is awaiting this transition info before becoming valid again. The service reps insist that I haven't cleared the history from my browser cache, but I've tried on two different machines, one of which I've never logged into ADC with. Tried three different browsers. Now I get to wait for further tech support to come up with a work around. This is awesome.
I submitted my first app last night on iTunes Connect, but I never received a confirmation email from Apple. Is this normal? I would think they'd send something to me to confirm receipt of my binary...

As long as the "tick" appeared after you uploaded the binary you will be OK. Apple do not send any emails out except for rejections and approvals.
Also, there will be a time lapse between when you get an email saying approved and when you'll see the status change in itunesconnect. I think it took a few hours for me before it changed from in review to ready for sale.
Has anyone that submitted on Sunday or Monday heard back from Apple yet?
I submitted an upgrade last Sunday and another upgrade on Monday. The Monday one went through on Friday, so 4 days as usual. But I'm still waiting for the Sunday one (and pretty fed up about it too - it fixes a crash so I don't want to promote the app until it's fixed).
