Cool, my first app submission, Voodoo Doll, was surprisingly painless.

I submitted it on sunday march 1st and it was approved today march 6th.

After getting the "Ready for Sale" e-mail, it only took a few hours for it to appear in the store.

Check it out: Voodoo Doll « PersonaTap - iPhone and iPod Touch Apps

Default Does changing your availability date no longer work?

Two of our apps were just approved, and we changed the date from the submission date to the approval date as we've done with our other apps. But now they both don't show up in search... has anyone else seen this recently ?

thanks,
chris

Maybe due to timezone differences, it has reached "today" yet?

It has been a few days now for both. Both are technically "approved" but can only be viewed via their id's and the phobos link.

I am *really* fed up for a similar reason. My app was approved last night at 11.50pm. I didn't notice it until after midnight so set the availability date to today (7th). On the UK store it still hasn't shown up for today. Worse than that, in stores where it was high in the rankings - eg #1 in education in Holland, it has disappeared completely.

So I've lost sales for at least today, and I was anticipating high sales following a nice review on a Belgian iPhone site. Also, I'm still getting higher sales from a Dutch review last week, so they are lost too. I'm losing the benefit from the update, 2 good reviews and the weekend.

I have no idea then. If you want to try, change the date for one of the apps to 1 day back from what you set it to.

I've seen that iTunes seen to cache pretty badly. e.g. go to page 10, app doesn't appear, go to 11 and back to 10 again, you see it there, or go to the a page sorted by release date, you know it's supposed to be there and yet it isn't. Doesn't seem to be the same problem as what you have though, since it doesn't appear in the search results.

There appears to be a problem with the UK store. My apps were approved yesterday...set the date to the 6th and they didn't appear. Logged back into today to check the date and it forced me to set the date to the 7th....still not appeared in the UK store. They are visible in the US with the release date of the 6th.

I'm pissed off with this as well.

I Submitted 02.03 and just got my ready for sale email. The app just appears now when I search for it and it's not in the new release list for 6 hours now!.

The rejection was for the misuse of the Add Contact button, the blue round button with the white +. I was using it to add a person to a list, but since it wasn't a "contact" and didn't come from the address book, they wanted me to use a different image.

It wasn't all that surprising, I suppose. I've seen the button used with a green background in much the same way. Apple wouldn't have had an issue with that.

I had the same rejection... the problem is another app I already had in the App Store was using the blue circle button. And unfortunately this was about the fourth reason the testers had found to reject the app. It seems they only test until they find a failure, so rather than finding all the reasons to fail an app, and giving you the opportunity to fix them all at once, I had 4 failures, all for reasons they could have found in the first pass.

Submitted: 25.02
Rejected: 03.03
Resubmitted same day
Ready for sale email: 08.03

It's still although under review in my iTunes connect for like 6 hours now!

The App store is really a mess these days. Search is totally crap, reviews sometimes takes one day to appear or more!

No, "No mama" was accepted directly after 5 days. My other App is called iRish.

It was rejected because I forgot to remove the word Shag from some text

Hi all, just read the post about an app being rejected because it used the "add contact" button for something other than adding a contact.

I use the "disclosure" button (the blue round button with the white arrow/chevron in it), rotated 90 degrees (so it's pointing downwards), when you click it I hide the status bar for the user, it rotates 180 degrees, tap it again and slides the status bar back to its original position.

Should I reject my own submitted binary, are they likely going to reject me straight off for that? Wondering if I save some waiting time by replacing the button bitmap with something else instead of waiting for a week only to get rejected for this!

Thanks

Gong Touch was just approved approved after 7 days (5 for rejection, and then 2 for the resubmit).

I also just submitted an update to Ninja Buddy last night; so hopefully they keep on their 4-5 day kick.

I've got two applications waiting to go on sale because of a 'pending contract'

How long did it take for people to get their contracts thru?
Its been over a month now, and I just sent off an email last night. I'm about ready within a week to send of a third app, but nothing.

I'm getting pretty ticked. Was everyone elses timeline for the contract approval? I just read that everyones contracts are starting to come due and apple is swamped with renewals, so I'm ticked that I may be pushed to the bottom because of the renewal contracts will probably take priority.
