There is all kinds of copyright infringement in the app store. I think Apple's take is they don't care. If Fox came after iHomer, they'd go after hosam, not Apple.
I can verify this from my bosses company's experience with Chuck Norris over iChuck; Apple is not involved. They basically send you an email saying "handle it".
Hmmm, I never got an email like that. Yet all my contracts have the green check mark and look fine in itunes connect. I wonder if they really are ok. My first paid app is still being approved.

And yet Apple stands to profit from the sales. They have some liability, but I suppose it is easier for copyright owners to go after the little guy instead of the Apple legal juggernaught.

At last! I thought the day would never come when I'd be able to post in this thread.... I submitted my first game to the app store last night. If only I had been able to work full time on it...
I know I've never really asked for help here, usually just trying to give help whenever I'm able, but a lot of posters have provided bits of info that were very valuable to me anyway! Thanks
Now for the waiting Hopefully it won't get kicked back for something stupid I've overlooked...

YES! Congrats Commander, join the club; I'm sure your going to knock it out of the park!
Add me to the list, I submitted mine Feb 12. US Developer, free app. Simple app just to see what the process was like, now moving on to something bigger.
Hi, I too can finally post in this thread, I have just uploaded my app at:
15th February 2009 20:08
I started my app on the 2nd of January, so that's 45 days, not bad :-)
Let's see what happens!
45 days is a healthy incubation time, hopefully you'll do well... My game was in development for over 4 months!! That was only part time though, so I might have been able to make 60-90 days... Someone needs to invent the 40 hour day so I can get a week's worth of work done in a hurry
Clock's still ticking on mine, only been in review since Friday the 13th... Hopefully not a bad day to submit

Yonnage, I took 3KLTFTR6KLJW and gave you a good review. Excellent job on your game, simple idea but well executed and fun!
Gah, I wish I'd get approved soon. Nobody told me how horrible the wait would be! All I can do is check my e-mail and refresh iTunes connect every 10 minutes... Why Apple, why?

My app got approved yesterday but saw the email only today... I'm so excited that the wait is finally over.
I've submitted it on 05/02 and got a rejection on 11/02, resent the same day and on 16/02 got approved, so the 5-6 days wait seems to hold.
My app is called MySongbook, and it's an app for finding and displaying song's chords (songs lyrics with their chords, and not like the many apps that show how to play chords).
Here are some promotional codes:

I also wanted to thank everyone who write on this forum. Though I haven't posted much, I always found that most of my issues were already asked about and answered, so thanks for all the help!
