Contact pending since mid Jan [US , LLC] . The wait really sucks and wish I had filled my paper work in advance.

In the mean time, I am going to try and work on other projects I have planned. But I am less motivated than if I knew how my first app was doing.

I have filled in my details, bank and tax info so is it now down to apple?

Not sure about the contracts. I mean mine was, it looked to me, instantaneously, after entering my bank information. It says it is in affect.

Took me 3 months for the contract (just got it today). Approval was 4 days or so each.

My bank info has a tick next to it, infact everything except the contract approved has a tick! I assume that means I have done my bit and its up to our fruity masters to approve it
I'll go watch some paint!

I got my contract approved at last. I sumitted it mid jan and then submitted an app that was approved waiting contract and now my contract is approved 3 days after the app was approved (about 1 month in total), I think the speed was due to my app waiting so they hurried it through. I also had submitted an app before i realised that i needed contracts but that app was rejected anyway!
Ps i'm in the UK.
I mailed my w8ben but that was only a day ago so i doubt it was that.
Hope some of the info helps someone else

Yip my contracts took 3 months. Was losing hope so I just went ahead and submitted some apps. They got approved and that seemed to hurry the contract along.

Default Still "In Review" 4 weeks and waiting

Our contracts are in order and our app was submitted four weeks ago. We are still "In Review". We've received no email from Apple. We have called their support center and all they can tell is a great big nothing...A zero visibility policy is not a good way to do business.

We have built news application for client who is a major newspaper. Luckily they are very patient, but they are not happy. Does anyone have any insight as to what might be going on?

Default Not waiting long...

Every time I have submitted an app or an update I have had a response within 5-6 working days; 8 has been the longest. My problem with one app is that Apple have knocked it back about 5 times now, so it has taken a month and still not accepted.

The things they have knocked it back for include bad wording on an error message, and my default image (the image displayed if an actual image can't be retrieved from the internet... server down etc) looked too much like an image the user would expect to see, even though it had text plastered all over it saying the image wasn't available and the user should try again.

I submitted an update and a new app on Sunday, so if they are true to form I should have an answer in the next day or two. I even got an answer on a Sunday once, so someone there loves their job!

Submit date: 02/02/2009

Approved: 11/02/2009

Application : iHomer

Section: Entertainment

I started in it as a personal project since I am a huge fan of Homer Simpson. My brother saw it, he said it was awesome and he encouraged me to submit it and finally it is now in the App store.

Feel free to PM if you need promo codes to review the App

Cheers,

Hosam

How are you able to make such an app using copyrighted material? I would think Apple would reject it because of it being illegal. Please let me know if it is actually legal, because then I have some great ideas for other apps.

I can only assume you have permission from the creators for making money on their character?

There's been some posts here about getting letters and apps being pulled for this...

I might be wrong though - and this might be something that's ok to do? (would be interesting to know if it is... What if this happened to me on the appstore?).

My app has been approved this morning. My first app on the store, and after two rejections, and someone getting my app name first.

I added my app website link to my signature, seeing if editing my post adds it, I'd rather not add an off-topic post here just to get it shown. My app is called Money Mgt Calculator, btw. It is kind a little app, I set it to $1.99 because it will help feed me and my wife, I got laid off in January.

Nope editing doesn't add my new signature. Here is my website link

It is not automatic; you have to change it in the "Pricing" tab. Just be aware that it usually takes about 4 hours before you see the changes reflected on the store itself. Good luck! What's your app?

There is all kinds of copyright infringement in the app store. I think Apple's take is they don't care. If Fox came after iHomer, they'd go after hosam, not Apple.
