Guys I have a question. My app was submitted on Sept 10, when the 4.1 SDK has been released. I submitted my app compiled on iPhone SDK 4.0, will it be rejected?

No - you'll be fine.
Uploaded three updates on 6th September - still waiting for review.
8th Sept - Uploaded new app
10th Sept - In review
Currently - Still in review
Saw a special on tv last night about the app store and apple. It seems that the little apps get thru pretty quickly. The big time business apps take a long time, months and even years. One company had invested half of million dollars in this state of the art app and it has been submitted to apple for over a year and still nothing. Go figure.

No change as of Sept 14th.
App is a 3d game for iPad only written using Unity3d iPhone basic. There are no additional APIs or services used. Anyone else submitted something similar?
From what I'm seeing, I'm not experiencing anything out of the ordinary. My first app has been "Waiting For Review" since September 10th, and is still waiting to be approved.
I had an app approved yesterday that had a small error that needed to be fixed, so I fixed the error and submitted an update. I also emailed an expedited review request. They accepted the request and began reviewing it today. However, the yahoo servers were down this afternoon, and one of my views pulled a site off my yahoo hosted webpage. This meant when they reviewed it, they couldn't access it, and sent an email to me saying they couldn't approve it because it didn't meet core requirements listed in my description of the app. I wrote back explaining the problem. I haven't heard anything back, but on itunesconnect it still shows my app as In Review and not rejected. Do you think they are taking a 2nd look at it, or just forgot to hit the rejected button? If they don't take a 2nd look I'll need to resubmit the binary, but I'm just confused on what to do now.

Anyone else ever get an email saying they couldn't approve the update, yet the status stays at In Review?

I once had a similar issue where the services supporting my app were down. They left the app as In Review and came back around to try later. They approved it, but also sent me an email that I should update to handle the cases where the supporting services were not available and I should alert the user.
I submitted my App on August 3rd. It took 8 days to get in review where it was rejected due to an issue I ha while uploading the app.
I resubmitted on AUGUST 11th. It was reviewed on the 18th and rejected same day because it was my first try at iAd and I messed up the direction it moves when it doesn't fill.
I resubmitted August 12th. My app went into review around the 21st of August. It is now September 16th and it's still in review!!! I sent a message the other day to find out wtf is going on. I got a reply that there has been a delay and thanks for my patience.
Anyone else have such a problem? This is BS. My app was related to BP Oil spill...now it is basically worthless.

Somethings odd is going on. I've four updates that have been waiting for review for over ten days now.
All the app store approval process really needs is "Your app is #42 in queue" and a great deal of all the toil and anxiety for developers would dissipate. This (of course) would require an actual first-come-first-serve system, which I doubt Apple uses. It appears that they go through periods where they focus on specific categories or target devices. Currently, iPad and Universal apps seem to be where it's at in terms of being reviewed.
My app update was stuck at "upload received" for 8 days and now "waiting for review" for the past 10 days. It is an upgrade to universal app so It would seem they they don't have a preference. Although I guess with OS 4.1 out universal is old news
Universal apps seem to be where it's at in terms of being reviewed.
I had a new universal app sit just as long as an iphone app update (submitted one day apart), so I think Apple has just flat out stopped accepting apps into the store.
