Well, I submitted mine the same day as you, and went into review on the same day, but haven't been approved yet. But, it's my first app, so maybe that makes a difference.
Same situation here. It's my first app, submitted on Dec 04, "In Review" on Dec 11th, but still "In Review" as of today ( a week later ). What are they looking for? My app takes 2 minutes MAX to look at its basic feature set(s)!

You may be looking at a rejection...cross your fingers.
On another note, we just had a new app approved in 8 days...not bad.
Luckily, you were wrong =) Just 30 min after I posted that message i got an e-mail: Ready for Sale!! So exciting. Thanks again for everyone's support and help on this site. Could not have done it w/o you guys.

NOW AVAILABLE: Hokm for Hustlers : A Classic Persian Card Game iTunes Store
Glad to hear that...and good news for the rest of us.
In prior months...a longer than usual review meant rejection...at least for me.
Anyone that gets new apps approved the day before the itunesconnect shutdown is going to be very lucky... an extra week of exposure in the new release list, and at the best time of the year. (Assuming Apple does not continue approving while itunesconnect is shut down.)
Finally, DeskWhiz has been approved by Apple! It's a Digital Photo Frame + Music Player + Clock. I submitted it last November 10, then it went through two rejections, before Apple finally approved it after 3 days "In Review." Really thought I'd have to wait until after the iTunes Connect Christmas hiatus

Can you please specify if these are new apps or updates to existing apps?
Would also be nice to see a link to itunes for the apps... can compare relative complexity of applications that way, and you also get a free plug.
Looks like EuropeanUnionCitizen is a new app based on the link, though I can't read German, so I'm not quite sure what the application does. One screenshot with a picker and weblinks... looks like a relatively simple application, so a very fast turnaround makes sense.
My app is a new product, first time in review (I start selling at 22.12 - link is here iTunes Store but now is only available in Australia )
But my second app was updated in last week also quite quickly:
December 17, 2009 14:31 Ready for Sale
December 15, 2009 12:25 In Review
December 12, 2009 13:22 Waiting For Review
(link: iTunes Store )
First app was submitted on Nov. 4. Simple but potentially controversial app.
It went in review on Nov. 9. On that same day I received the ever popular "requires unexpected time needed" email. Waited two weeks then emailed apple. Got a reply that basically said we'll get back to you when we get back to you. The good news was that I got a chance to expand my street slang vocabulary. Got a call on Dec. 16 saying they rejected the app and stating why.
Submitted my second app AirPiano on
Dec 4. It went in review on Dec. 9 and available for sale on Dec. 14.
