How are you guys getting 3 - 5 day waits, while I'm waiting more than 2 months? I want to get some paid apps up online and finally get some income. I'm also concerned about the wait time for apps that I do on contract for other companies. I had one company say they wanted the app written and online in 3 weeks. I suggested that might not be realistic.
what type of app did you submit? game or another type? (out of curiosity)
The longest I ever waited was 8 days. Most of my new apps and updates are from 2 - 5 days.
Here's an idea for you folks with apps stuck for months - I saw this on the old Apple Developer forum. Just delete the app and resubmit it as new. I saw reports of the newly submitted app getting approved after 5-6 days after having been stuck for 2 months. If you've waited 2 months already, it may be worth a try.
Actually you might not be able to delete the app so you may have to submit a new app with an ever so slightly different name.
Mh - my contract has been approved today. I changed release date to "today (12/19)" and now I can find it in the german app-store via find. Release date there is the 18th, and it does not show up at all in the categories? So I find it via search, but not via browse? Upload was on the 15th. This looks a bit messed up. Could it be that I simply have to wait until tomorrow and it is in the store then with date 19th? This is strange...
I've got a good one: we have had an app in review since October 2nd. We tried resubmitting a new one with a different name but it didn't work. We have been in contact with a so-called manager at Apple whom we call every 24 hours for a status update. There is a story that hit digg about our app: Digg - iPhone Developr Spends 500k Goes 75 Days, No Word from Apple We've got a website (Newber Home | The First Location-Aware Business Number for the iPhone) up and ready to go. We have a booth at Mac World and a booth at CES for the application...but we have no application. Our server logs show that Apple hasn't even tested it yet. The so-called manager we call every day claims to not have the power to do anything about the situation or to get us the ability to talk to someone who does.
Because of all this I came into work about a week ago and someone came over and dropped a BlackBerry on my desk and gave me a deadline of CES to have the application ported. Apple really has to get with it and either reject the app or let it in. **** or get off the pot is what they say, I believe.
My app just got accepted! I submitted on wednesday, and it got accepted today (saturday). It's interesting for a few reasons...
- It's in the game category, which supposedly takes a long time to get accepted
- It got accepted on a saturday, and from what I had been reading, people seemed to be thinking that app review stuff only went on during weekdays? Maybe they're just putting in overtime to review as many apps as possible before the break, but I did a double take when I saw the email, I was definitely not expecting it!
- My app has many unlockable stuffs, some of which is VERY difficult to unlock. I had assumed that Apple wanted to check every facet of your game, but apparently not cause there's no way they could have unlocked/beat everything in this time.
I moved up the release date, and will be back when my app is actually live
I submitted on 12/14 and was accepted today 12/20. A BIG THANKS TO ALL ON THIS FORUM. I learned so much here. My app is a Teradata SQL syntax reference.
I just uploaded Tap Forms 1.5 today. But with iTunes Connect going down for a few days, I'm not sure if anyone will be able to get to my application to approve it. Hopefully they can squeeze it in before the holidays.
I received approval notification today, but I'm still waiting for the "pending contract" status to change.
How long have you been waiting? I had called the support line for a mostly unrelated question, and they said that the contract people were heavily bogged down and not going very fast.
My contract took just more than a week, I feel like I got off lucky!
My contract has been in process for over three weeks. Not sure why it takes so long for someone to look at a form letter and some banking information it took me 5 minutes to fill out.
I sent them a letter a week ago and got no response. Anyone else have to wait this long?

I just had my contract approved this week after waiting just shy of a month. A few days before my paid contract went active, I saw my free application world contract go active (though I'm not even sure the purpose of this one). That may be an indicator you can watch for to know your wait is almost up. Still, I think you should be approved any day now.
lol. Yes I know. I was too angry at the time to care. Be interesting to see whether I get a reply and now I've made the change and replaced the binary how long it takes to go through submission again.
The problem is although Apple are in control, we at the end of the day are the "customers". We pay a fee to be part of the iPhone Dev Centre. Most of us probably have ADC memberships as well and we all have paid money for our development machines etc.
Unless people start taking a stand, nothing will change. I've sent a note to Steve Jobs as well. I know I won't hear back but at least I feel better for making the complaint.
I'll let you know if and when I get approval!
Thanks, Michael.
well it looks like my "lite" app isn't going to get approved in time for Christmas. Apple really do suck big time. The lack of consistency and lack of response from Apple has got to change.
