Hi,
It's been up for over a year & the app is free so I don't think anyone minds. Search the web for hal 9000 eye and you'll find it being used all over.
Of course if they have a problem with it I won't object.
Gary
BTW, Here's Kubrick's eye AND hal on the app store... iTunes Store
The reviewer will have been born in 2001, and won't realise his year of birth is actually the title of a film as well
To be honest, I think the review process is totally flawed in this respect. Loads of old UK TV programs have got soundboards based on them, as the reviewers are generally US based and won't have a clue what they're reviewing. However, if someone posted a 'Lost' soundboard (except for ABC) it'd be rejected out of hand.
I guess it's due to what's popular with the reviewers. If they've heard of it, it gets rejected. If they haven't, they ask the guys on either side of them. If those haven't heard of it either, it gets passed, no copyright issues, move along please

Yes I agree with that , I have had problems with licensed sounds and had to prove I am licensed , yet there is Borat , alan partridge , peter kay and loads more all unlicensed yet approved

yeah, I'm really annoyed that people who spend so little time making a soundboard that has a few mario sounds on it, put a disclaimer on it, and make thousands of dollars, it really pisses me off
Btw, as you are from Germany, did you selected US or Germany as the Review App Store?
They review the apps in the US only. This last page in iTunes Connect/Manage Your Application is for preview your entries in the according stores (e.g. different description in different stores).
Yeah, 30+ days is a nightmare.
Just noticing that im not one of the 97% anymore... Its all new to me at the moment as its my first app.
Maybe should start a "Your First App Experience Thread" to help people with first app paranoia.

I WAS in the same situation. It's so terrible
But the review team is existing, oviously...

Aight! Thanks!
Did any of you 2 got the "additional unexpected time" email as well?
My theory is they send this email when then reviewer has to send the app to a superior to make the final decision.
So, the superior takes 30 days to see an app? :|
I'm worrying, because I read a LOT of horror stories about the "unexpected additional time" email... Some took MONTHS to approve/reject, others didn't get an answer even if they reject binary and send it again... I don't mind getting a reject email... I just want an answer damn it!
I submitted 2 apps at 9pm on 10/4 and they were approved at 2pm on 10/14. I submitted a different app at 4am on 10/4 and it was rejected at 9pm on 10/13.
So I would say there was roughly a 10 day wait. It will be interesting to see how the wait times change with this new in-app purchase for free apps. I would assume people either making changes to current apps or submitting new ones.
Submitted one app on Oct 8th, got rejected yesterday (Oct 20th) due to a keyword which wasn't directly related to the application. So resubmitted the binary and removed that keyword, let's see...
