Default Anyone Getting New Apps Approved This Week? Or: "Your application has changed state"

Ok, I had like 10 apps in review (all different types) and I got this message over the last 3 days for APP the apps: "Your application has changed state"

I know they have a Release Date List problem and created new rules to ban XXX apps... could it be they are really backlogged this week and are experience delay in reviewing?

I have noticed "UPDATES" to apps get passed within 24 hours. But new apps are ALL getting this message: "Your application has changed state"

Anyone else experiencing this? I am concerned as this is normally "the kiss of death" for apps, but these are just standard apps and several of them are completely different with no "offensive content", great apps for all ages.

Let me know if you have been getting apps passed this week!

What's the status in iTunes Connect of the apps which got the ' "Your application has changed state" email?

They might just be sending out emails now when your app changes status from 'Waiting for Review' to 'In Review'. Also, new apps usually do take longer for them to review in my experience (which kinda is to be expected I guess).

The reviewers could very well be backlogged or something though... I have two updates that have been 'In Review' since Sunday.. it's never taken this long before. Perhaps it's the whole yanking of the boob apps and possibly the creation the the explicit category that has them all preoccupied over there.

Yes, it states they are "in review". I assumed it was taking longer because of reviewing and removing apps (plus the reported issues of delayed new release list). I guess they are just extra busy right now with the problems and removing apps... would love to hear if other developers or having these longer waits as well.

Well, I am cursed. I try my best to write decent quality apps but they ALWAYS get hung up by Apple (sometimes for months), while a buddy of mine who mills out much lower quality apps much more quickly never has any problems. lol

I've got an update for one of my apps in review right now, and despite hearing lots of happy devs saying they only stayed "in review" for hours, I'm going on three days and fully expect it to be three weeks because of my curse. It's so depressing.

Hope your luck is better.

I just got the same email. A few days ago I submitted an update and it got approved on Wednesday. After a few minutes of being live in the App Store, I discovered the app had a bug that was making it crash in certain devices. Well, I went ahead and fix it and submitted a new update. For some time it said "Waiting for Review" so I decided to implement a few more things. I did it yesterday night, rejected the previous version, resubmitted the new one and since this morning the app was "In Review".

Now I just got the email but I'm afraid there is something wrong with the app and that's why they say it'll take longer to review, or maybe it's just because they will put my app in a backlog given that it just had an update? I had never received a similar email.

Any news on yours?

It's been this way for a while guys, when you first submit the app it will be "Waiting for Review", then at some point it changes to "In Review", and then finally it will either be "Ready for Sale" or "Rejected". The In Review stage can take anywhere from 1 day to more than 2 weeks, although lately it seems developers have been getting approved very quickly, 1-2 days. When the status changes from Waiting for Review to In Review you will get the application changed state e-mail, it's not a bad thing.

Well, it's not the first time I've updated my app and I've never gotten such email. The approval process usually has taken from 6 to 8 hours, so my guess is that if it's taking longer, the system automatically sends these emails. Let's wait...

Does any of you have any news about the status of your submissions? Mine is still "In Review" waiting for approval. Last two updates took less than a day for approval, but this one that I submitted last Thursday and that I need to get approved really bad (it's bug fix release) doesn't get approved yet...

Yes, received the App changed state with the (yikes) additional time required language for a couple standard apps. They are definitely tooling away on the back-end.

Had one approved yesterday. New releases are still stuck on the 25 of February - mine is the 2nd of March. Hopefully another will move into review today.
