I'm really pleased by this, Alien Swing weighs in at just over 20Mb at the moment but I'm pretty confident that I can get it under the 20Mb cap with a little bit of work. Time for an update.

Anyone know what happens with the apps that are over the 20MB?
Do they just not appear in the App Store when browsing via 3G or it just prevents you from downloading?

Read much? Follow the link in the OP; there's a picture (screenshot) that explains a lot.
Well looks like the 20Mb cap has benefited me already!
My app has reached the US Free Top 10 in Education.
I wouldnt have got there if i were relying on Wifi only.
Hello there! I am loving being a developer of apps for the iPad and iPhone, just wondering if there is any chance the download-over-3G limit will be increased anytime soon?
With the new retina displays to support - including both a regular.jpg and a regular@2x.jpg of each image is nearly doubling file sizes for our apps, and 20MB seems smaller and smaller every day. Hopefully an increase in the download limit is possible and upcoming. I realize this may be an issue to debate with AT&T or potentially Verizon.
If it's possible, it would be great. Otherwise... I suppose the poor souls using the network they are paying for monthly will continue receiving "Application Over 20MB" messages when attempting to give their money to an app they've found intriguing in the App Store.

With wifi hotspots available just about anywhere, does the cap really matter anymore?
