Angry Help! My App's Icon is Broken Chain in iTunes!

Help please! I just released my first app[1], which I've spent a LOT of time working on. I followed all of the requirements outlined in the iTunes Connect Developer Guide about using .tiff instead of .png and at least 75 DPI etc. Yet when my app finally got approved this morning I was greeted with a broken chain icon in the App Store instead of the one I'd worked so frackin' hard on! I've sent a barrage of emails to Apple, changed the icon a few times in iTunes Connect, and so on, but nothing seems to help.

I've also updated the app's description in iTunes Connect and haven't seen that propagate either.

Has anybody seen this happen before? How can I fix it?

On top of that the "By Release Date" list is stuck at Nov 19, and if they don't fix that soon I'll debut on page 4! I'm freaking out here -- my wife and kids have made all kinds of sacrifices to make this day happen and now the launch is getting completely f*cked up!

Thanks in advance for any help or even just sympathy.

I have seen that broken chain icon before on just random apps and then a few hours later the icon is back, I'm not sure it is anything you can fix.

If you want to tell me the name of your app I can check iTunes from my computer and tell you if I see the broken chain as well.

I am seeing an icon with an X and Number 8. Is that your icon? If so, it is up now.

A 57x57, 72dpi and .png always works for me. Infact i havent read anywhere that says u can use anything else other than.

My advice, ur not going to like... I suggest submitting an updated binary(including correct icon) and waiting it out. Oh and maybe use your 1 expedited review on this.

I also suggest downloading all 50 Promo codes now, keeping them and waiting until ur update is approved and then receive a further 50.

That should make up for ur broken icon/new release problems.

Oh yea, that too. Before taking action allow at least 48 hours.

Are you looking using your phone or using iTunes on the desktop? It looks fine on the phone. The problem is with iTunes on the desktop.

Thanks,

Well the link you posted doesn't work for me, says it is not found on the store, but if I search for hexalex I do find your app and the icon looks good. Since you are just released today I would say this is just a case of things not updating on all the different iTunes caches yet. I bet tomorrow things will be fine.

Ignore my previous message. I see you found it. Good luck in your sales.
