I think he should be applauded for offering his reviews. What a great way to start a future career! We were all 15 years old once; he's getting a head start and already contributing to the world in a positive and productive way! Thanks Affan and keep it up!

Right, nothing is wrong with this guys idea, but it will be a waste of time. He wont get enough traffic but atleast you get it out and any way to broadcast your apps is better than nothing.

Yes, it wont compete to other sites, he wont have the time and eventual he will give up as he can't be arsed.

thats just my 2 pence

So what? At 15, what's more important than a learning experience?

So your saying I go up to Steve Jobs and say, give me the info for all your apple products and I will be able to boost your sales thus meaning increasing more money?

Waste of time = not a learning experience (well technically but not a beneficial one in any way)

I am younger than him and I know what a crap idea is and how to take criticism on the chin. He needs to be told sincerely the flaws in his plans other wise when hes 30 he will be thinking he can make an operating system using cascading style sheets.

If he wants to learn, make apps. This won't work, but he can do it if he wants as if say tomorrow his website got shut down, nobody would blink an eye.

If this guy is 15 and is on this forum, he shouldn't be wasting his time. By the looks of it, he has made no apps so is just looking for free paid apps of devs.

Cut the crap mate and stop being worried of hurting his feelings.

That sounds an awful lot like learning to me.

Where did he ever say he was doing this to learn about developing apps?

I'd say he's learning a lot: how to maintain a website, how to build relationships with other people, and how to take criticism. Is his website likely to be very successful? Probably not, but who cares? He'll learn far more by trying something and failing miserably than by never taking risks because of other people's suggestions, even if they turn out to be right. And if he gets bored of the project and stops updating his website in a few weeks, again, who cares? The next time he decides to take on a project he'll have a little experience on which to base his decisions, and after a few more iterations of trial and error, he may actually be on to something.

There are a lot of 15 year olds who never develop socially/economically productive interests [here in the US]. Many of these kids then engage in antisocial behavior becoming involved in gangs, drugs, or becoming just vanilla perpetual low achievers.

Society would be better off with one guy like Affan than a dozen who won't even start trying. Stating the obvious, success for many occurs after a sequence of failures.

There's a subtle difference between honesty and truth in the manner one offers advice. One can be honest in their advice without being discouraging, while a preoccupation with only truth can make one's advice unnecessarily discouraging.

BTW, I am no bleeding heart liberal, and I believe very strongly in capitalism. Everybody wins when we encourage all to become active capitalists.

One thing i don't get is why people go against something in a bad way. Why are they even on the forum. Who says I have to be a developer or an adult to be in this forum. If your trying to tell me something in this thread then tell it to me so i can read it with out being disgraced. Other wise you shouldn't me posting in my thread. Also if you hate what i do, why do you post. nothing is happening to you. Also:

Quote from Arcadiu.

If your younger than me, then why are you on the forum. That is basically what you just said so why are you wasting your time.

Have you made any apps.

have you done anything to help developers.
So why are people like you on this forum? And posting on my thread. They dont belong here.

If you read before, i said i dont do this for free paid apps, many people can just do that by jailbreaking their devices, so can i but i dont want to because whats the point then. You can't help the developer that way, hes losing sales and he cant even get a review on his app.

Stop assuming something you don't know.

If you think there is flaws in my idea then tell me straight up. Whats wrong hiding something like that than posting critism on my idea.

Also Why are you on the forum tell me? Arcadiu

Anyways I was suppose to post that I put up another review until is saw that people had to be told to leave this thread if it has nothing to do with you. if you have something to say to me, then email me don't ruin my thread by posting Bullsh*t on me and my idea. Learn some manners.

Why am I here? Simple, to make applications for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Can i ask, why are you wasting your time and effort to help promote the success of others when it doesn't benefit you? I never said there was an age limit to be on this forum or you had to do something. Have I made apps? No, have you? Im learning and am nearly on that stage.

What do you want to get out of this "review" website? What do you get back? What do you achieve? Will you be keeping this website up and sticking with it for a long time?

Those are the questions which reflect my view on this idea.

All im trying to say here is keep your opinions to your self, if this thread has nothing to do with you then leave it and move on with your goal on this forum. I hope to see your app one day and even get a chance to review it, even if i can't keep the website up for that long i can easily hand it over to someone. I like doing reviews on apps since i like to do it, its like a hobby. People have different choice on things. I can see you don't have a interest in this kind of stuff since you would like to make apps but not review them. Reviewing also gets me experience to different types of materials and scenario. It will help me for school and will keep my learning skills as well as technology as the same time. That is the benefit of this and I like it.

This is just a thing that a teenager would do if he like apps, iPhone, and other stuff related like this.

Now time to get back at my reviewing.

Hopefully 4 reviews will be up by the end of the night, if not than at least two and they are all from the same developer.

Default You people are so harsh

Really, give him a break, not only is he trying to help all of you guys out by giving you a nice little app review, but all hes asking for is one promotion code so that he doesnt have to buy every single app he reviews. To all you idiots like Arcadiu, screw off. AGAIN, hes only 15 years old.

Also, about your website, if you get enough visitoes, you might want to think about changing your site to a real domain name.

if you are going to do this , i suggest register.com/

its a really good website and its all visual ( drag and drop ) unless you want to put some html in there.

i just started a website if you wanna check it out www.epictechstudios.com/index.html

So again, dont let anyone discourage you, do what you like doing no matter what anyone else thinks.

Im only 13 yet ive managed to make a nice little profit off of my apps even with trolls like Arcadiu

Good Luck, ill probably send you an email about my app

Thanks for the advice I will take it for account.

By the way your website is really good and up to a great start. I just think the font is a bit to small. Other wise everything is ship shape.

Good Job.
