Okay, im soon gonna release an app,
I have an Individual Developer's license. So, im the only one, no company
I was thinking though that i'd like to release my app under a company banner.
my question is, what my legal standing if i say that include companyName, and copyright to that company.
What authority will I have... over it,.. and what are the pros cons.. here
Needless to say, that i havent officially registered it, or anything. just a banner! for my apps.

Where are you based Raheel? It potentially makes a huge difference to the legal position you're in.
Im based in India. I can use my name i guess, like others.. but i was thinking, what If i can use a banner name for all my aps.
Few thoughts. First you should check with Indian laws. I don't think they are that much different from country to country though.
Let's say you wrote an app and posted it as "(C) Fake Company". In this case if anybody will steal your app and will start reselling it, you won't be able to do anything. You claimed that the copyright holder is something that doesn't exist.
Moreover, someone else can quickly open up a company, name it "Fake Company" and actually sue you to get all your earnings, because it will become their product. You will have hard time proving things in courts.
My suggestion: If you don't have any company, use your name. Having company is good, because it protects your personal assets. So if you will start making any real money and believe your product is good - make a company. If it's just a little experimental app - it doesn't matter.

Thanks alot Dre, thats some valuable information i had no idea about.
Well, my app isnt really an experiment, and i've been developing it since a 5months. I recently registered a domain in the name of that App. myappname.com however, the Exact name wasnt available. So i had to tweak that for the domain, but app name remains the same.
About the company and copyright, What I'm concerned about is if I do form or register a company in india, where i am. What that be valid in US??
In which case, maybe, i'll hav to change my developer's license? which is individual right now!.
and finally.. how much does it cost to jus put up the name out there and make it official!.. in US?
Im not going for app store for the long term...

Of course, there are treaties between countries.

I have no idea what "developer's license" is and what it is for.

It varies from state to state. The cheapest are Delaware, Nevada (as far as I know). But I don't think it's worth it. You will have the same power regardless of where your company is based.
