Default App availability date shenanigans...

Hey guys,

Can someone please definitely explain to me how the app availability date system works?

We've been burned multiple times by setting it to a certain date then having Apple take longer than expected to approve the app. Once it does get approved it goes out on the store but doesn't get put in the Release Date section.

Also, we've put out a lot of updates to our apps but our stuff never gets put back up to the top of the Release Date section either.

I know there is a trick to getting your apps back on this list and would really like someone to explain how this system works!

Thanks,

- BL

Just leave the availability date as it is before, when submitting the update. Once your app gets approved (usually an email is sent out saying "APPlication is ready for sale") go to itunes connect and change the availability date to the date app got approved. Give it couple of hours, and your app should be shown in release date section sorted by most recent date.

We had two apps go up last week and only found out about it by searching on the App Store.
