1. Do I have to Clean Targets?
2. After I Build and I'm ready to release, where do I find the actual app and what is the best method to zip file it?
3. What else is included in the ZIP file beside the app itself?
4. How do I determine if the correct codesign identity is set? I know it should be Distribution, and not Developer, but I can't find that in the settings or Keychain anywhere?

I will say that I have loved this process and I truly think my App will do well since it is unique, well thought out, very tight code... BUT I'M NOT CUT OUT FOR THIS MAN! I'VE GOT A WHOLE NEW RESPECT FOR PROGRAMMERS!
Anyone care to help answer #1, #2, and #3? I solved #4 after poking around the documentation a bit.

1. Do I have to Clean Targets?

It is best practice to do so before you build the distribution build. Clean all targets while you are at it, and do a rebuild.

2. After I Build and I'm ready to release, where do I find the actual app and what is the best method to zip file it?

Usually project directory / Build/ Distribution-iphoneOS/*.app. You can zip it straight from finder if you want. (right click/compress). You can do a right click within XCode on the Products/app and choose "reveal in Finder" to get there quicker.

3. What else is included in the ZIP file beside the app itself?

Just the app. (The app itself is a package and contains multiple files, so just zipping the single app gets it all).

HTH. (As a note, for more in-depth questions along these lines the non-business forum might be better suited for a quick answer.)

Greg and fellow developers responding to this thread...

... I wanted to thank each of you for your time and effort in helping me get my app "In Review". If it wasn't for this forum, and the amazing people that frequent it, I would have never gotten to this point. I finally resolved my questions above yesterday thanks to Greg's post. After pulling my hair out and trying about 1,000 times last night and this morning, I was able to finally fix the provisioning/certificate issues that I had.

Now crossing fingers that I don't get rejected, and then I can turn my prayers to hoping more than 10 people download...

Looking forward to seeing it on the App Store... in a week or so.
