I think something may be horribly wrong with the app store again.
Firstly, I submitted an update over a week ago: no word yet.
Secondly, I made some changes in ITC over 2 days ago and they have not showed up
and Thirdly (this is the big one) pick up your phone, browse to Entertainment for example, and sort by release date. The sorting order is all messed up. Starting with January...then June..then all over the place?
Can anyone confirm this? Should we flood them with calls?

That wouldn't make sense... their is no logical order to the dates shown... unless it is displaying the update date, but sorting by original date....which would be insanity.
Don't think this is the case - you can browse any category and have a look at the release-dates AND the version numbers of the apps there... If they we're sorted by original release date there would hardly be v. 1.0 apps with release dates in feb and mars togheter with apps from 2008...
Doesn't make sense to me at least... Think it's just a confusion on sorting, perhaps cached servers or whatever that probably came from the move to the new rating system - and perhaps other changes that we haven't seen yet (who knows?)
I just called ADC and they seemed unaware that a problem was occurring; although that might just be a facade. I gave them all the information I could about the problem and the issue it causes for us developers, and was asking for advice as to the best course of action (leave things as is or reject my binary and wait); they escalated my case and told me someone would call back; hopefully they do.
Sorry lol. I was aware that this should go elsewhere but I felt the issue was of paramount importance and should be seen by everyone immediately (not just the 4 people that look at business and legal). For this reason I actually recommend it be moved back (at least till the issue is resolved). This is the kind of thing that may make a dev want to reject their binary; so the sooner it is seen the better. Just my 2 cents!
I posted about this on Friday in the Approval Wait time thread. It's been like this since at least Thursday. My update was approved on Thursday, and has not yet shown up on the device when sorted by release date. Also, the same programs have been at the top of the Release Date list on the device since at least Thursday even though they do not have recent release dates (lucky them). The Release Date listings have been essentially stuck like this since they launched the "Ratings by Version" feature.
The iTunes computer listings are unaffected, and direct links work. For example, on my update day I got 0 sales and a couple hundred upgrades.
I've verified this on both my devices. There's is definatley some kind of issue.

This has been a problem since the beginning of March: see this thread
I've emailed them and awaiting a response, I've also called them but they gave me the standard "please email itunes connect". It's certainly a problem as when you check the order of apps in iTunes its fine, it's just the App Store on the iPhone that all busted, unfortunately this is where most of the browsing buys come from.

Well, there are issues in the iTunes AppStore as well unfortunatly... Even though not as severe as the one's on the phone, it takes a real long time for some apps to show up in the listing - not all though, but some - like my app that actually did appear for a short while and then dissapeared again. Think there is some kind of local caching problem in combination with server caching problem that might be screwing things up...
Just a guess though... Anyway, even though things look kind of ok on the computer, they're not really...
And yes, it's all been a bit shaky since the beginning of march...
Wow; this issue is way more far reaching than I thought... Is there anything we can collectively do to prompt a response from apple?
If everyone on this forum (well, all 8 of us that read the Business thread) send an email, I'm sure they will notice. This is a big issue for me, I have a couple updates pending.
They have so many email addresses. What's the one for this? itunesconnect@apple.com or something?

You can file a bug report over @ the Apple Developer Forums - The more the merrier... Allready a lot of people doing that and I think that is the best way to get Apples attention...

You got a link for that? I hate the way that site is layed out. Can't find anything :P

What makes me mad is Sproing has essentially fallen off the face of the earth. I can pinpoint the exact day the Recent Releases list got really messed up (3/12, with some weirdness as far back as 3/6) because my sales took an abrupt nosedive. For a new game, unless you're lucky enough to get featured right away, the only way to get noticed is through that list. So the list getting messed up = no sales.
And I was "lucky" enough to have my update approved right when things got really bad, so I'd imagine the update was essentially wasted from a sales standpoint.

Hehe - yeah, it's a bit confusing at times...
Look in the lower RIGHT corner in the browser-window (when you're inside) - there should be a link (right next to "Contact Us") that says "Report a Bug". That's the one you should be looking for - File a bug report, describe your problems.
They're pretty responsive - I've got problems solved by filing reports there...
EDIT: I can't tell left from wrong (oops right I mean)

If I had a nickel for everytime I've been "lucky" when submitting an app or an update I would have been rich, like those guys developing apps for the iPhone you know!

FFS, Apple. I clicked the "Report a Bug" link and got this:
----
An error has occurred. Please report the error to Apple Inc. by emailing the error detail to devbugs@apple.com.

So I guess I need to report a bug about "reporting a bug"? :P
Ha! So it's not just me that gets the bug report bug. I've never gotten that thing to work!
Actually it is a bit weird that both of you get this problem - I've used it more than once and never seen any of these behaviours, it has worked perfectly fine for me...
Perhaps you're "tagged" by Apple?! "Don't let those guy's in here - Whatever you do - Don't..."
Log out and back in and try again - it should work just fine...

This is the one I've used, been told it can take several days for a reply.
