You can try contacting ADC but by phone..emails don't get seen quickly. They will be able to contact the review department on your behalf but unfortunately 14 days isn't too bad in reality so not sure whether it will do any good. Can't hurt though.

Unfortunately, this is a time critical app that was written for a client who is now screaming. Has anyone found a way to influence the approval process? We could lose a valuable client over this as well as the substantial investment we have in the app.

Unfortunately Apple don't care about this currently. The problem is they are selling apps all the time....just not always the "right" ones...so they do not lose out short term. Maybe long term if developers start to abandon the platform we'll see a change but personally I don't think this will ever happen (developers abandoning I mean).
