Talking about WWDC09 , one bad personal experience from WWDC08 which i would like to share is that be very careful about the badge they issue at time of registration and make sure you dont lose it.
They just refuse to issue a new badge if you lose it which i think is very unfair.
They expect someone who paid 1000$ + air fare to just leave the conference because they lost their badge. The registration staff was not ready to help at all. The reason they gave me for not been able to issue a replacement badge was because someone else could use the badge I had lost. I think they should have used smart card enabled badges like some other tech conferences have (Example MEDC07 Microsoft) so that if a badge is lost it can be remotely disabled.
Hope WWDC09 improves on this aspect of the registration process.
