Thought I'd post my experience with the submission of my first app Sound Freak, which is free.
For starters, I had an existing developer account that was setup when the SDK was first released, but recently decided to convert my account over to a corporate one. I found the transition process from an individual to a corporate one very easy and timely. The process, from what I recall, was no more than 4 days...so either I got very lucky or the process is being streamlined.
Once the transition was completed I then uploaded my app on 3/2 and I received the email indicating ready for sale on 3/11. The app is nothing more than the typical high frequency playing apps that are showing up, but it was a good learning exercise for me.
Yet, I fully expected the app to be rejected cause it allows someone to browse the net while the sound plays in the background, and understanding the fickleness regarding the usage of browsers made me think this might hold it up. None the less it was approved in what seems to have been a short amount of time compared to what others are experiencing.
