I had this exact problem. It seems you have to manually sync the app the first time after you enter your account information by using the little refresh button on the bottom of the main page. If you don't, it will crash.
Just do that once and you're all set. Pretty impressive for a little piece of software. I'd like to have a big YTD or All-Time totals page, but other than that it works excellently.
