That confirms what I see too. I have a $299 app that sells about one every other day. On a rare occasion when I had 2 sales in one day, my ranking in top grossing for my category (music) shot up to #17. Then over the course of one day, it dropped hour by hour to #100 or so. Then I had one sale yesterday, and now I am back to #61 for my category. I think they ought to average over a longer time period to get a more meaningful ranking.
