Not because I want to litter the app store with naked women, but because if apple one day decide to impose their version of morality on anything I have written all that investment is down the drain. It will be sudden and without warning and contrary to any previous guidance.
It's a cool platform and I like writing for it but if my return on investment is at this high a risk it's just not worth investing in it.
I will never invest a lot of time and effort into an app now. Assuming it makes it through the archaic review process they could withdraw it at any time.
I now plan 'skin-able' spam apps. I won't go as far as releasing more than one on any given day and spam the store, but I won't be investing much effort into anything other than a core engine that can be re-wrapped in order to spread the risk.
It's the only logical response to this platforms random censorship. I am also seriously looking into alternative mobile platforms for the first time.
Nice one apple.
