I am familiar with that.
In our case, after the update all the ratings and written reviews showed, with the method as stated by you. And total ratings did not change on the iPhone or iPod.
Then a few days later, all the ratings disappeared, leaving just the written reviews.
iTunes shows the same.
Strange, but not unexpected with Apple.
A few days ago, they mentioned the daily report would be late...and the used 02/02/2009 for the red alert.
Seriously, just how much confidence does that give you.
As a Windows guy, I have noticed many other bizarre glitches, mostly with the dates not lining up right.
Binaries for upload will at times have a completely wrong date.
Date and Time is about as simple as it gets.
