The first link seems to be for developers of webapps, not native iPhone apps. Correct me if I am wrong.

I too am looking for a way to embed a map view (kind of like the MapView for android) and include things like overlays, scrolling, and pinch zooming. Does anyone know of a way to accomplish these? Thanks.
