On another note, Zune is trying to compete with the iPod Touch.
And rumor has it that Gates is offering buckets of cash to developers with successful apps. In effect to port them to the Zune.
My guess is that he's willing to buy loss leaders to get consumers to jump ship and try the Zune.
If true, that is a good start.
